Unit Management

Units are at the heart of LodgeKit. Each unit represents a bookable cabin, site, apartment, hotel room, bed, or listing. Navigate to the units section to see all your units at a glance.

Creating a Unit

Click Add Unit and fill in the details: name (e.g. "Cabin 4"), unit type, configured rate, and maximum capacity. You can also add a description and notes for internal reference. Click Save to create the unit.

Unit Types

Unit types help you organise similar accommodation together. Common types include Studio, One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom, Powered Site, and Unpowered Site. Set up your unit types first, then assign units to them. This makes filtering and reporting much easier.

Unit Status

Each unit has a status that updates automatically based on bookings. You can also override it manually for maintenance or closures.

  • Available — ready for new bookings
  • Occupied — currently booked by a guest
  • Maintenance — temporarily unavailable (e.g. repairs)
  • Reserved — held for an upcoming booking

Editing a Unit

Click on any unit in the units list to open its details. From there you can change the unit number, unit type, floor, status, or notes. Changes take effect immediately. If you change the unit type, the unit inherits the new type's rates for future bookings.

Changing a unit's type does not retroactively change rates on existing bookings. Only new bookings will use the updated rate.

Managing Amenities

Go to Dashboard > Amenities to define what each unit includes - WiFi, air conditioning, kitchen, parking, etc. Assign amenities to units so you can filter and match guests to the right accommodation.
