How Availability Works

LodgeKit automatically tracks which units are available based on existing bookings. When you create a new booking, only units that are free for the selected dates are shown. This prevents double-bookings without any manual checking.

Checking Availability

There are two ways to check unit availability.

1

From the Bookings page

When creating a new booking, stay, reservation, or placement, select the start and end dates first. The unit dropdown will automatically filter to only show units that are free for those dates.

2

From the units page

The units list shows each unit's current status. Units marked Available have no current or upcoming bookings. Units marked Occupied or Reserved are currently in use or booked.

Blocking Units for Maintenance

If a unit needs repairs, cleaning, or renovation, change its status to Maintenance from the unit detail page. This prevents it from appearing in availability searches. Remember to set it back to Available when the work is done.

Use the Housekeeping section to create maintenance tasks for units. This gives you a trackable record of what work was done and when.
