Late Fee Overview

Late fees encourage timely payment and are automatically applied to overdue invoices based on rules you define. You control the grace period, fee amount, and frequency.

Creating a Late Fee Rule

Go to Dashboard > Late Fee Rules and click Add Rule. Configure the grace period, fee type, and repeat frequency.

1

Set the grace period

Choose how many days after the due date before the late fee applies. A 7-day grace period is common.

2

Choose the fee type

Pick a flat amount (e.g. $25) or a percentage of the invoice total (e.g. 5%).

3

Configure repeat frequency

Decide if the fee applies once or repeats (e.g. weekly until paid). Repeating fees accrue automatically.

Check local regulations

Late fee rules must comply with local rules for your accommodation type. Some jurisdictions limit the maximum late fee percentage, require a minimum grace period, or restrict fees for certain stay types.

Late Fee History

View all applied late fees at Dashboard > Late Fee History. Each entry shows the invoice, the fee amount, and when it was applied. Late fees are synced to Xero if your integration is connected.
