When to Use Bulk Import
If you are migrating from another system or have a list of guests, residents, campers, members, or customers in a spreadsheet, bulk import lets you add them all at once instead of one by one. This is the fastest way to populate your people database during initial setup.
Preparing Your File
You need a CSV file with specific column headers. Download the template from the import page to get the exact format.
Go to Bulk Operations
Click Bulk Operations in the sidebar, then select Import Guests.
Download the template
Click Download Template to get a CSV file with the correct column headers. Open it in your spreadsheet application.
Fill in your data
Add one row per person. First name, last name, and email are required. Phone and address are optional. Make sure there are no duplicate emails.
Save as CSV
Save the file as a CSV (UTF-8 encoding). Do not use Excel's default .xlsx format — it must be .csv.
Check for duplicate email addresses before importing. LodgeKit will reject rows with emails that already exist in your people records.
Uploading and Reviewing
Upload your CSV file on the import page. LodgeKit validates every row before importing - you will see a preview showing which rows are valid and which have errors. Fix any errors in your CSV and re-upload, or proceed with valid rows only. After import, a summary shows how many people records were created.
